Today we were “honorary cheerleaders” so we could promote our radio show and mingle with Yinzer Nation. Anyone else hear us on WDVE and stop on over to the KISS FM tent? The database for my blog was screwed this weekend. Yesterday’s post that I uploaded before I left for bowling (went 113-141-148 last night) just now posted but since I had it uploaded the time stamp was there so I’m still going NaBloPoMo strong.
I love Sunday nights because it gives me time to read the paper, get caught up on emails and tonight watch every episode of Next Iron Chef. We’re usually addicted to any cooking show no matter how bad it is. The highlight thus far was watching these chefs not only freak out about having to cook on a grill but also fail to manage the fire. I look like a rockstar up against this episode. Now in a kitchen I’m sure they’d kick my ass but on a grill I’d spank them. That reminds me, Lushie has found the missing ingredient for one of her Build a Better Burger burger and a way to make it insanely healthier.

This disturbing creature is the Steelers new mascot. 70,000 names submitted by Steelers fans all over and THIS is the best you could agree on? I don’t know if it’s the porn quality of his name that I laugh at or the story behind how Diane Roles came up with it. I’m looking for the video right now but to paraphrase… “The name Steely from Steelers. Mc because the Steelers are Irish and Beam because my husband loves Jim Beam!” ahhh a true yinzer, or as my wife said “jesus christ… < expletive > <expletive > yinzers!”
Why is there a need for a mascot? WHY! Steelers games are almost always sold out and the fans are the most loyal in the NFL. If this is an attempt to “bring family to the game” I’ll puke. It could be worse and look like their new neighbor.
