Why the Dodge RAM / Paul Harvey commecrial was brilliant
The internet was buzzing last night at the commercial Dodge aired about farmers. A lot of atheists were appalled because “God” was used and they were subjected to the ad blah blah blah. Others were trying to figure out why Paul Harvey, the radio voice most of our dad’s and grandparents tuned in for over 50 years, was used. Myself, I thought this was one helluva powerful commercial.
I have fond memories growing up listening to Paul Harvey on the radio with my dad. Mr. Harvey’s voice will always have that connection for me. The ad wasn’t meant for a religious agenda, it shows that hard working men, women and children who bust their asses to make America. It’s about pride between a father and son. It’s about being tough when you need to and when to be compassionate. It’s about not whining about your internet being down or OMFG you have to wait 10 minutes for something. It’s not about feeling entitled, its about earning what you have.
People, today you should take a lesson from a farmer.
