The storms out here are incredible! I was bummed that the huge second round that was pimped as the end all be all of storms was a mere shower but thankful those hurt by the Wednesday storm weren't crippled even more. I had a portable scanner in one hand, two other ones blaring on different floors for my trips inside. I was tweeting what I thought might help friends steer clear of ugly spots on my itouch on the back porch (awesome view of parts of Mt Oliver, Carrick, Baldwin etc.) What a lighting symphony! Beer in hand I checked other vantage points from the second floor, ever concious of the funnel cloud threat which never really materialized. Only fail..I hadn't used my ham radio in so long the batteries were dead so I couldn't get on SKYWARN, which is a very good tool, and realtime precise reports from the field..two packs are charged for tonight. haha Dude, I thought it was just me.
