I like to play with my wii wii

The last act of Ericsson was to send out a bonus check to those of us laid off folks (go ahead and make jokes, I haven’t stopped about the irony). With that Lushie said that I need to do something for myself with a part of it so I bought us a Wii and Wii fit. Scratch that, Teaspoon got a Wii and Wii Fit for Easter. Love that bunny!

I’ve been dwelling on which gaming unit to purchase for years and what it came down to was honestly the Wii Fit. I was hesitant at first but last night after breaking it in I love the little sucker. PittGirl had named her trainer and I’m still trying to decide if I like the male or female trainer. It’ll probably come down to who I talk back to more. Since Teaspoon was born I’ve dropped 20lbs so I figure that this is more motivation to keep going. Plus I was finally able to get Lushie to play a video game that wasn’t Pac Man

As for the other games we stuck with what came with the gaming unit and extra controller. Hands down bowling is my favorite and I can see this as a huge hit at parties. It has consumed me into a Wii lifestyle. Next up on my shopping list (probably this weekend) is NHL 2K9, Tiger Woods and Punch Out! . I need to earn/buy more points so I can get the web browser and see how SIDT looks on it. Also a big fan of the weather channel. What appeals to me most is that its not graphic intensive as a PS3 or XBOX 360. It’s simple and entertaining. Granted I’d love to play some hockey with rockin graphics but for the price this more than fills my needs.

I also picked up Mario Kart which I really suck at and need practice. Wanna race and kick the snot out of a noob? Send me your Kart code thinger to add as a friend via my contact form. Can you tell I’m still trying to get use to this?

All of you Wii owners out there, what else should I look at buying/playing? What are some MUST HAVE accessories? What is online playing like and what info do I need when wanting to play someone?

      Dude, I had to change the voice on my Verizon Navigator because I was always fighting with “Sharon.” I swear, Sharon and I needed a trip to Dr. Phil, it was ugly. “David” and I get along much better. I guess should probably still see Dr. Phil for other reasons…

      Wii is awesome. Too bad for my teeny living room. No amount of telling my husband he is an oppressor gets me any closer to Wii ownership, as he fears for my flailing in the vicinity of his television. Enjoy the fit! Feel the burn!

      You can’t possibly suck at Mario Kart more than I do. I got beat by THE KID. I’m not even lying. She who doesn’t know which way the steering wheel goes is better than I am. *hangs head in shame*

      I saw a light saber wii control accessory the other day. I don’t know what game it is for but all I could think was, Awesome.

      One thing I’ve found out is that getting even 30 minutes for the Fit is nearly impossible. I usually get the 10p-3a shift to feed/watch him so Lushie can nap. Trying to do anything besides type is difficult. Though I may have to take some time in the afternoon and sneak it in.

      I’ve named my trainer Crazy Mary and i’ve created an Eddie Vedder Mii. Yes, PJ everywhere :)

      There’s a Mario Party a light saber attachment? Oh man I’m so out of it and oh HELL yeah I need that!

      We have had our Wii for over a year! We bought the rechargeable batteries for it and that was a great investment. We have 4 controllers and numchucks. Get Wii Play. It has great games and comes with an extra controller as well. Our other favorite is Carnival Games. We actually just bought our Wii Fit on Saturday! Still playing with it. Didn’t know you could name your trainer! Awesome!

      I recommend grabbing Dr. Mario Online from the WiiWare store. I’m also a big fan of Smash Brothers. I have friend codes for both on my blog. I need to get on the Mario Kart bandwagon. Also, WarioWare is pretty good for a party game.

      First, the light saber was designed for the Star Wars game…”Star Wars: The Force Unleashed” (I think) and there is also another game…”Star Wars The Clone Wars”. They also have guns for the Wii as well…Nerf makes a combo gun…light gun for the game, Nerf gun w/ Nerf darts. I don’t have a Wii. I thought about it but I get enough exercise right now :)
