2009: new beginnings

This year is already starting to look like a year of firsts. To kick it off in fashion the picture above is of my first beer. Not of the year but EVER. You can read about it at…

  • Beer Porn – This is a collection of beer writers from all over the world and I’m one of them.  See ma, i be puttin mah learnin to youse! Oh yeah and thanks for not keeping the beer locked up :)
  • offspring – 110 days to go. *OYE*
  • employment – By the end of Feb I’ll have turned in my badge after 10 years. I’m excited about the possibilities of starting something new.
  • car payments – all vehicles will be paid off. yeah, I’m giddy
  • motivation – with junior on his way there are a lot of changes that need to be made. Some personal, some for the family but all for the good. Ask me in a few months how it’s going.
  • Yinz Team – we’re going to finish at least 1 softball game this year.
  • degree – Depending on how the job thing goes I may take more classes and try to have my degree by year end. Either way I’m gunning for all A’s. Almost pulled it off this year.
  • new media – working on some personal projects to keep me busy while I take time off from SIDT.

That’s my list for now. I have some time off before I go back to work late next week so we’ll see how much I get done around here. Hope everyone had a safe and happy new year!

Can I just say that is with great pride and genuine joy that I look at that picture and see just to the left a label from none other than Clarkehead Brewery. The fact that you saved that and kept it around means a lot to me. Thanks!

Golden Anniversary, that was truly an underrated beer. I was sad when I couldn’t find it anymore. Cheers. Happy New Year.
