Introducing: tea spoon

That would be my son at 18 weeks. Lushie and I found out yesterday we’re having a boy and thought it was time we told everyone. Honestly when you see Lushie it’s pretty obvious she was carrying someone in there. We’ve known since August, our family has known since late October and those whom have seen Lushie have figured it out.  We’re looking at late April so me and the spud can watch the Stanley Cup playoffs together :)

As down as I have been about the impending layoffs this changed my mood completely. I was glowing yesterday and I had to do everything in my power to not blurt it out until I got the pic scanned. I was debating posting since I am job hunting now but we’re covered on benefits well past his birth so thankfully that won’t be a concern of ours.

The baby showers are already being planned and the plus side to having family so far spread out, 2 parties! This kid is going to get spoiled and my basement is about to shrink. I honestly think that family is having the hardest time trying to grasp the fact that we already have a lot of things planned and ready. When you’ve been through all we have you kinda have your shit together.

Oh yeah, now you can truly say that yes, I am Father Spoon :)

cheers!

Congratulations, Doug & Heather! Let’s hope the poor kid looks more like his mom.

Congratulations! Although perhaps you should go with Table Spoon, since Tea Spoon is already a bump down on the size chart… What’s after that? Sample Spoon?

Dude! Congratulations, that’s some serious kick-ass news! And with a strapping you Lad, you should just start calling him Ladle – right?

Boys rock. I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t have jr. You are going to be a most excellent dad. This baby is going to get a freaking ton of beer-themed onsies. Just saying.

Justin, until the kid is bigger than me he’s a tea spoon :) He should have his first podcast shortly. Tales From the Womb

Carla, next year we’re going to have a full cheering section of Yinz team babies. We’re all looking towards the 2026 Entry Draft.

Phil, Rick and mindbling, the search now begins for me to find the perfect brew to welcome this lil guy into the world. I might even have to find something to age until he’s old enough to respect the ale.

Locobone, you may not want to drink the water down here. Just sayin…
