Yinz Team Perfection!

This is what a solid unit of softball greatness looks like.

Wait, no THIS is what greatness looks like

Last night wrapped up our legendary season as Yinz Team finished 0-7 with a first round exit in the playoffs. I said this last night and it’s worth repeating, I’ve played on many baseball/softball teams since I put on my first spikes back at age 5 and without a doubt this was the most fun I have ever had playing on a team. We were there to have a good time (whereas other teams were stocked with roided out “i might get drafted” day dreamers) in the PSL. We would lose but we had fun. Granted the water on our bench was often replaced with the smooth ass taste of Keystone, we found (and pulled) muscles we never knew we had. This is a great team and I plan on being a part of it again next season.
Well, unless the Pirates draft me ![]()

*note: I stole those 2 pics from BurghBaby. I have to give her credit before she beats me with her Flickr stick*

It should only EVER be about fun, and nothing else. I’ve been on so many teams where the primary goal was to win the league championship - anything less is unsatisfactory. That is ZERO fun, and it’s the main reason I stopped playing. When you have girls on your bench crying because they went 0-4, the team is F’d up.
Good for you guys. Looks like an awesome group. Glad your season was a success (yes, even 0-7 is a success).
Speaking of pulled muscles: How are you feeling after doing the splits at first last night?
I’m ordering extra HGH as we speak!
Phil, you’d totally fit in with this group if you lived out here!
Crappy, Amazingly i have no pain today. I used to play goalie so somewhere deep inside i’m still flexible enough to split at first. I shoulda had that ball if not for the weird bounce!
Jim, remember i need XXL patches
Playing to have fun is the only way to go, especially when you don’t want to spend hours and hours and hours practicing. And why would you practice when you could be out drinking? It’s all about priorities.
Dawn took the kick ass photo of you, btw. She and Mr. Canon hit it off instantly. Maybe you should buy her a Mr. Canon of her own?
I’m starting my off season training this week. 8 hours a day 7 days a week. *RAWR*
I think that if Dawn ever gets a quality camera like Mr Canon we could all be in trouble but we would be the most documented team in history. Plus she needs one for Should I Wear That
