Who thinks last night was a bad nightmare?

THESE GUYS!

——————————————————————-

DETROIT — The Detroit Red Wings were 34.3 seconds away from a magnificent celebration. They were 34.3 seconds away from their fourth Stanley Cup in 11 seasons, as they held a 3-2 lead on the Pittsburgh Penguins.

And then Maxime Talbot crashed the party.

Talbot evened the score with Pittsburgh’s first goal of this entire campaign with the extra attacker, then Petr Sykora scored with 10:03 remaining in triple overtime as the Red Wings failed to close out the Stanley Cup Final in a dramatic 4-3 loss to the Pens at Joe Louis Arena on Monday night

I thought it was terribly exciting… although I actually only saw the last few minutes of the THIRD overtime as I walked in the door. I thought everyone in the room was about to explode. This is what the game should be… sitting on the edge of your seat unsure of whether to cry or wet your pants.

      Go Pens!

officially, wings were up 3-1 (not 3-2) before the game tying goal with 34.3 secs left … now we win game 6 @ home and see what happens in game 7

Adrianna, this was hands down the most exciting game I have ever watched. No matter what happens here on out (I’m still bankin on seeing this go 7) that game solidified that the Pens are a team that shouldn’t be misjudged based on age. Yeah they blew through the first 3 rounds but everyone knew Detroit would be the test. What I find heartwarming is knowing that the parade that was scheduled for Tuesday had to be postponed.

cp, I think the AP meat the score was 3-2 not the series. Either way the detroit coach is fuming about the officiating so you know that the refs will keep that in their mind.
